The $1,000 Reward
MY BELOVED PATEK PHILIPPE 5022P was stolen while in UPS custody en route to an authorized service center near San Francisco. I’m offering a $1,000 reward for its safe recovery.
When the package was handed to the authorized service dealer, its markings indicated it was torn open with a pen, the wristwatch removed and the package re-sealed.
This wristwatch has been reported stolen to Patek Philippe, The Watch Register, eBay, Chrono24, other online platforms, numerous dealers & jewelers as well as local police departments. It is the subject of an ongoing investigation. More importantly, this watch is of enormous sentimental value to me and my family.
Identify the Watch
This is a Patek Philippe 5022 in platinum - a rare metal in a discontinued line, so if you’ve come across it, you’ve likely found it.
- Photograph. Above is a photograph of the actual watch: “PATEK PHILIPPE” on a white background, Arabic numerals, “apple hands” (small circles in the hands) and a sub-dial for the seconds.
- Platinum. The underside of the clasp is engraved “950” indicating platinum (750 indicates gold).
- Winding Mechanism. The winding mechanism did not function properly though it may have been repaired.
- Hirsch Straps. The straps were black with “Hirsch” on the inside though they may have since been replaced.
- Serial Number. This watch is uniquely identified by these numbers inside its case: 1878156 / 4029216.
